With more than 1,200 animals, award-winning exhibits and activities galore, there’s always something new at the Zoo! The Louisville Zoological Gardens is a nonprofit organization and state zoo of Kentucky, dedicated to "Bettering the Bond Between People and Our Planet" through excellent care for animals, wonderful family memories for visitors, and leadership in conservation education. The Zoo is accredited by the AZA and the AAM.
